PAY: $35\\.00 \\- $45\\.00 depending on licensure and experience.





**What We Are Looking For:**

The Restorative Nurse is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating restorative nursing programs to help residents achieve and maintain their highest level of function and independence. This role works closely with nursing staff, therapy teams, and other departments to coordinate care that promotes resident quality of life.


**What You Will Do:**
---------------------




**Program Development \\& Implementation**




* Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized restorative nursing programs for residents as ordered by the physician and care plan.
* Monitor residentsโ€™ progress and modify programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Collaborate with therapy staff (PT, OT, ST) to transition residents from skilled therapy to restorative programs.
* Ensure programs are carried out consistently by nursing assistant and other staff.

**Resident Care \\& Support**

* Provide hands\\-on restorative care including ambulation, range of motion exercises, positioning, ADL training, and use of assistive devices.
* Educate residents and families about restorative programs and goals.
* Monitor and document residents' responses to restorative care and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.

**Staff Education \\& Supervision**




* Train, guide, and monitor nursing assistants in the delivery of restorative care.
* Serve as a resource to staff regarding restorative techniques, equipment, and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and care plan directives.

**Documentation \\& Compliance**


* Accurately document restorative interventions and resident progress in the medical record.
* Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to care planning.
* Maintain required reports, audits, and tracking tools for restorative programs.
* Ensure programs align with regulatory standards (CMS, IDPH, etc.).




**What You Will Bring:**
------------------------




* Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois, in good standing.
* Prior experience in long\\-term care and/or restorative nursing preferred.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Ability to motivate residents and staff to actively participate in restorative programs.
* Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, adaptive equipment, and restorative nursing practices.

**Physical Requirements:**

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
* Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and assisting residents.
* Ability to push wheelchairs, move equipment, and support resident mobility.

**Work Environment:**
---------------------




The Restorative Nurse works throughout the nursing facility, primarily on resident care units. The role involves direct contact with residents, families, nursing staff, and therapy staff, with occasional exposure to infectious agents.
