**Job Description:**



* PURPOSE OF JOB:
Assist with all aspects of delivery of care for patients having procedures in

the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab including assisting physicians, patient assessments and monitoring, patient education and operation of equipment. Moreover, to execute the objectives and the policies of the hospital.

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Assesses, plans, implements, documents, coordinates, and manages patient care according to department and hospital standards and considering age\\-specific accommodations.


* Communicates and collaborates with patients, physicians, family members and other health care disciplines in order to achieve excellence in patient care during hospitalization.


* Promotes patient safety through adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, evidence\\-based guidelines and Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.


* Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals.
* Maintains clinical competency according to unit\\-specific standards.




**Job Qualifications:**



VII. QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education:
* BSN required OR ASN/Nursing Diploma with 2 years of working RN experience with understanding must obtain within 2 years of employment
* Current licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State Bureau of Occupational and Professional Affairs and successful completion of appropriate continuing education specific to job requirements


* Prefer Experience: \\*1\\-2\\+ years' experience in Cardiac Cath/EP Lab or Radiology Special Procedures Room. Highly encourage certification in Cath or EP as RCIS or RCES.


* Will consider, 1\\-2 years' experience in CCU/ICU or 2\\-3 years experience in
* Emergency Room beneficial but not required for consideration. Certification as Cardiac RN or CCRN helpful.


\\*\\*\\* Very strong background required in Cardiovascular Anatomy, Physiology,

Pathophysiology, Waveform Analysis, Arrhythmia Detection and Cardio\\-

Vascular Pharmacology and computer experience.

C. Other Skills:
1\\. Certified in B.L.S. for Healthcare Provider and ACLS

2\\. Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

3\\. Knowledge of computer functionality
