š Description: ### **Job Summary:**
The **Assistant Director of Rehabilitation (Assistant DOR)** supports the Director of Rehabilitation in managing and supervising the rehabilitation department, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech\\-language pathology services. This role combines clinical care with leadership responsibilities to ensure effective service delivery, regulatory compliance, and high\\-quality outcomes for residents.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
* Assist the DOR in daily operations of the rehab department, including scheduling, staff oversight, and clinical coordination.
* Provide direct patient care within professional scope (PT, OT, or SLP) as needed.
* Monitor therapy staff performance and support professional development and training initiatives.
* Ensure accurate, timely documentation and adherence to facility, state, and federal policies.
* Help manage departmental productivity and ensure appropriate utilization of therapy services.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, social work, dietary, etc.) for resident\\-centered care planning.
* Participate in quality assurance programs and audits to ensure clinical excellence and compliance.
* Serve as acting DOR in their absence.
* Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and evaluating new or current therapy staff.
* Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
### **Qualifications:**
* Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech\\-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Minnesota.
* Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or long\\-term care setting.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
* Knowledge of CMS regulations, PDPM, MDS, and therapy documentation standards.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
* Proficient in therapy software and electronic health records.
