Schedule Commitment
Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following:
Three (3) 12-hour shift per 6 week schedule (as needed)
Two (2) holidays per year, one winter and one summer
Twenty-four weekend hours per 6-week schedule (as needed)
Twelve-hour shifts
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Unit Secretary will perform various clerical responsibilities on nursing units including:
Provides support to the nurse manager with reports, data, and special assignments.
Transcribes physician orders for medications, diets, treatments, etc.
Coordinate errands as directed/necessary for the department
Prepare, comply, and maintain patient records
Qualifications
To qualify as Unit Secretary, you must meet the following requirements for consideration:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Six (6) months of clerical experience
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
