📝 Description: Sidwell Friends School, a co\\-educational Quaker day school, seeks substitute on\\-call nurses to work "as needed" during the school day for the 2025\\-2026 school year. The substitute school nurse will provide first aid, administer medication, and maintain health records.
Strong candidates will have experience working with children in a healthcare setting and have a warm and welcoming personal demeanor. Dependability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills are required.
**Requirements**
* Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington, D.C. and Maryland
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program
+ Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
**Preferred Qualifications**
* At least one year of clinical pediatric nursing experience in the last 5 years
* Previous experience in public health or clinical setting, preferably in school nursing or in a community health setting servicing children.
