**What You’ll Do:**
The Remote Senior Director of Clinical Documentation and Quality is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation across all levels of care. This role oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of systems and workflows that support accurate and compliant documentation, billing alignment, and high\\-quality clinical care.
This individual will lead cross\\-functional initiatives focused on documentation standards, EMR optimization, audit readiness, and staff education. The Senior Director of Clinical Documentation and Quality also plays a key role in the design and oversight of the company’s broader quality program, including accreditation support and clinical quality improvement.
* Oversee chart audits and processes to ensure clinical documentation supports billed services across all levels of care.
* Collaborate with revenue cycle, utilization review, and compliance teams to address documentation discrepancies and drive root\\-cause solutions.
* Develop and maintain documentation standards that meet payor, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with revenue cycle management to develop and lead the organization\\-wide process for certifying records, ensuring alignment between documentation, diagnoses, billing, and authorizations.
* Evaluate and improve clinical workflows in the electronic medical record (EMR) to support ease of documentation and data integrity.
* Serve as the clinical lead on EMR enhancements related to documentation, forms, and workflows.
* Partner with IT, clinical, and billing teams to implement system changes that improve user experience and operational accuracy.
* Develop and deliver training programs for clinicians and leadership on documentation best practices, documentation\\-billing alignment, and regulatory requirements.
* Serve as an internal expert and thought partner for clinical leadership on documentation\\-related policy, compliance, and workflow matters.
* Partner with compliance and clinical leadership on the development and execution of the organization’s quality improvement program.
* Support ongoing accreditation readiness through audit preparation, documentation standards, and performance improvement activities.
* Provide guidance on clinical quality metrics and lead initiatives that enhance patient care outcomes.
* Conduct investigations into quality\\-of\\-care concerns when indicated.
* Design and project manage corrective action plans to address quality of care concerns or requirements for improvement when indicated.
* Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize workload in a complex environment.
* Participate in all organizational performance improvement initiatives.
* Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries, demeanor, dress and interaction.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in psychology, social work, communications, business, or healthcare preferred
* 5\\+ years of professional experience in healthcare required, with at least three (3\\) years in a leadership role focused on documentation, quality, compliance, or clinical operations.
* Nursing, social work, or counseling license preferred.
* Deep understanding of clinical documentation requirements, utilization management, billing practices, and regulatory standards.
* Experience with EMR systems and clinical workflow design.
* Must be PC literate with proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross\\-functional teams and drive change in a complex environment.
* Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
* Experience in behavioral health, eating disorder treatment, or a related field strongly preferred.
* Highly organized, attention to detail, and ability to multi\\-task
