Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Casual position - no set amount of hours per week. Preference to individuals able to work 2nd shift. Will need to be available 24 hours within a 6 week window. Scheduled typically in 4, 8 or 12 hour shifts. Must be able to work weekends / Holiday rotation.
Major Responsibilities:
Observes patient in inpatient setting to ensure their comfort and safety.
Communicates closely with the registered nurse to have a better understanding of the patient's needs, diagnosis, visual, auditory or language barriers, along with any other special considerations.
Promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of the patient to the registered nurse.
Ensures patient call light is in reach of patient at all times.
Maintains a safe work environment; follows organization and department safety policies, including standard precautions.
