Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN).
As an RN at MercyOne, you will recognize and understand the legal boundaries for practicing nursing within the scope of nursing practice. Per the Iowa Board of Nursing, the scope of practice of the registered nurse isdetermined by the nurse’s education, experience, and competency and the rules governing nursing. Nursing integrates the art and science of caring and focuses on the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and human functioning; prevention of illness and injury; facilitation of healing; and alleviation of suffering through compassionate presence. 
**Schedule:**
Day Shift (hours vary 11a\\-7p, 10a\\-6p, 9a\\-5p, call on evening shifts)
**General Requirements:**
* Knows, understands, incorporates, anddemonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
* The registered nurse shalldemonstrate professionalism and accountability.
* Formulating independent nursing decisions and nursing diagnoses by using critical thinking, objective findings, and clinical judgement.
* Planning nursing care and nursing interventions byestablishing measurable and achievableoutcomes, consistent with the patient’s overall health care plan.
* Obtaining education and ensuring competence whenencountering new equipment, technology, medication, procedures, or other unfamiliar care situations.
* Implementing treatment and therapy asidentified by the patients’ health care plan.
* Monitoring patients and attending to patients’ health care needs.
**Education:**
* Is a registered nursemaintaining current licensure defined by InterstateCompact.  A senior level nursing student ofaccredited nursing program may apply.
* BSN preferred.
* Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) isrequired within 3 months ofhire date.
