Brightstar Care of Hunterdon County is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with TrachVent experience in Califon, NJ.

**Qualifications:**

* Current and valid RN License in NJ
* VentTrach experience
* at least 1yr experience as an RN
* Driver's License with auto insurance

**Responsibilities:**

* The Vent Unit Nurse is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, monitoring, teaching, and training.
* Obtains vital signs, temperature, height/length, weight, oxygen saturation and pain scores; reports abnormal values to RN. Obtains other measurements (i.e., head circumference, abdominal girth) per unit standard.
* Responds to monitor alarms.
* Exhibits organizational ability related to workflow, prioritizing to meet the patient care needs
* Prepare and administer medications and review medication cards for completeness and accuracy
* Integrates current standards of practice as well as local, state, and federal regulations
* Complete required record keeping in regard to your role in admitting, transferring and discharging residents.
* Review resident care plans for appropriate resident goals, problems, approaches and revisions based on nursing needs.
* Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner
* Must be caring, compassionate, have good communication skills, have a positive attitude and be a team player
