๐ Description: **Registered Nurse (RN) Labor \\& Delivery**

* **Work location:** Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
* The Womenโs Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a **MAGNET**, and Texas 10\\-Step facility, has previously been named โBest Place to Have a Babyโ and is a **Maternal Level IV designated facility**
* **Work hours:** Full Time Nights (6:45PM\\-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements plus some call\\-requirements
**Labor \\& Delivery Department highlights:**
* Self\\-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
* Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
* 18\\-bed LDR's, 5\\-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites
* Average 275 \\+ deliveries per month
* Wide range of patients and plan of care โ nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high\\-risk patients.
**Hereโs What You Need**
* Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
* BSN is preferred
* CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
* RN \\- Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
* One (1\\) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
* One (1\\) year or more of Labor \\& Delivery RN experience strongly **preferred**
* BCLS โ Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
* ACLS โ Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire
* NRP \\- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
* NRPA\\-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
* CPI \\- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* Assesses the patient
* Plans the care of the patient
* Intervenes as appropriate
* Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter\\-shift, inter\\-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
