📝 Description: Do you want to help people see better, look better, and feel better? Are you a RN looking for a daytime shift and no weekends? We are seeking pre\\-op or PACU per diem nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Department.

#### **DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Assesses and prepares patients on the day of the surgery.
* Cares for patients immediately after surgical procedures and anesthesia.
* Manages narcotic keys, counts, reordering, and maintaining appropriate documentation regarding the ordering and dispensation of narcotics.
* Monitors refrigerated medications/medical solutions.
* Assists with postop phone calls when necessary.
* Performs required sanitation duties and reviews surgical suite at opening of facility.
* Assists with surgical suite opening/closing cleaning requirements.
#### **REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:**
* Knowledge of health care laws, regulations, and nursing care methods and procedures.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge of EMRs.
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
#### **QUALIFICATIONS:**
* BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in California with the board of Registered Nursing (RN).
* Twoyears RN experience and oneyear O.R, preop, or PACU experience.
* Ophthalmic/plastics surgery experience (preferred).
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in vision care. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.

PAY RANGE: $46\\.82 \\- $63\\.99 depending on skills, experience, and education.
