The RN/LPN (Cheektowaga) will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Provider. This position is responsible for providing direction to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses and performing various nursing duties to support patient care.
\\*\\*Duties and Responsibilities:\\*\\*
* Provide direction and guidance to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses.
* Triage patient phone calls and patient visits.
* Provide case management for patients.
* Deliver care to patients requiring nurse\\-only visits.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
* Perform supportive duties to maintain efficient patient flow.
* Prepare rooms and assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures.
* Perform routine diagnostic tests.
* Collect and process specimens.
* Prepare and administer medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
* Review lab results and report abnormal findings to the providers.
* Maintain supplies for patient rooms.
* Participate in quality improvement activities.
* Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
* Maintain a professional manner in interacting with patients and staff.
* Maintain the integrity of the medical record.
* Document activities in appropriate logs.
* Provide patient education.
\\*\\*Physical Demands:\\*\\*
This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work may be required.
\\*\\*Minimum Qualifications:\\*\\*
* Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
* Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
* One year of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
* Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
\\*\\*Preferred Qualifications:\\*\\*
* Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
* Three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
* Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System.
\\*\\*Pay Range:\\*\\*
\\- RN: $31\\.61 \\- $38\\.15/hr.
\\- LPN: $21\\.91 \\- $26\\.45/hr.
