The listed minimum pay reflects compensation for a full\\-time equivalent (1\\.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part\\-time).
Minimum Pay:

Position Overview* Promotes staff development through utilization of appropriate learning resources.
* Serves as preceptor to orient, mentor and develop nursing employees.
* Functions according to Capital Health (CH) guidelines and prepares staff for specific roles in the event of fire, disaster and cardiac codes.
* Acts as a resource for policy and procedure.
* Assists the staff with testing and case preparation, making daily assignments and delegating work as needs change throughout the day to assure all testing is completed in a timely manner and staff get a lunch break without interruption of patient flow and testing.
* Delegates and prioritizes work assignments in relation to the individual competencies.
* Communicates with the Nursing Supervisor to advise on issues or complications related to procedures being performed simultaneously in various procedural areas to assure adequate nursing coverage.
* Monitors needs on all campuses and interacts with Nursing Supervisor to assure adequate nursing coverage.
* Arranges add\\-on procedures and stress tests as needed.
* Creates monthly schedules in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor and posts them in Shift Wizard following Nursing Supervisor approval.
* Delegates daily tasks among staff (stocking, code cart checks, supply orders, etc.).
* Demonstrates correct and safe technique in the use of the equipment according to the specific product information and CH policies and procedures.
* Follows proper safety and infection control procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
* Attends all mandatory department in services as recommended by regulatory agencies.
* Promotes patient/family education. Provides for ongoing collegial atmosphere allowing both an upward and downward flow of communication in the department through staff meetings and daily communication.
* Ensures delivery of safe, therapeutic care for patients. Performs patient care as necessary and assists in all emergency situations.
* Supervises the prompt and accurate implementation of physician orders/communications. Ensures that adverse reactions or changes in condition are reported to the physician.
* Coordinates and integrates services within the department and with other departments. Provides clinical coverage if necessary or indicated.
* Maintains visibility and accessibility with all internal and external customers. Makes walking rounds.
* Collaborates with leadership to ensure that the department is on budget. Demonstrates a cost\\-conscious attitude in requesting the purchase of departmental equipment and supplies.
