**Responsibilities:**

* Conduct thorough patient interviews to gather complete medical history, including allergies, current medications, past surgeries, and family history.
* Complete physical and verbal assessments before admission to identify any surgical concerns.
* Order any pre\\-op tests needed, including blood work, EKGs, x\\-rays, etc.
* Educate patients and families.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
* Consistently review your charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure
* Will cross train to PAT and PACU to assist as needed

**Requirements:**

* Associates Degree
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center preferred
* Current State Registered Nurse License
* Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS Certifications
