D/E/N. 36- and 40-hour position is available. Weekend requirements are per group needs, and holiday rotations are also per group needs. A weekend contract is available if desired.
It is an exciting opportunity to join the Pediatric CRN team! While CRNs will still manage beds on the night shift. There will be limited bed management responsibilities on Monday-Friday days and evenings. The Pediatric CRN will serve as a clinical expert and resource for GCH and leadership for the pediatric service. Peds CRNs are part of all emergency response teams, including the Rapid Response Team, Pediatric Code Team, Ambulatory Clinic to Emergency Department (ACED) Team, and the Behavioral Emergency Response (BERT) Team. Peds CRNs support nurses at the bedside with procedural support and nursing interventions, high-risk, low-volume procedures such as (but not limited to) radial arterial blood draws, hemodialysis catheter accessing and de-accessing, placement of IOs, and ND tube placement. Peds CRNs will manage the pediatric census and patient throughput in collaboration with key stakeholders, including charge nurses and GCH leadership. BSN required. Certification is required within the first year; 3-5 years of pediatric critical care/ED experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to triage and prioritize, and the ability and flexibility to respond to ever-changing and competing demands within GCH required.
