**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**

In this vital position, you will assist the Clinical Services Manager in the planning, organization, and management of both administrative and clinical operations within the Nursing Department at Southeastern Veteran's Center. Your responsibilities will encompass inspecting nursing units to ensure regulatory compliance and addressing the care needs of residents. You will leverage your expertise to evaluate the quality and content of nursing team treatment plans, ensuring they align with resident requirements and nursing standards. Additionally, you will contribute to policy development to maintain compliance with the Department of Health, Department of Public Welfare, VA, DMVA, and other relevant regulations. Your role will also involve monitoring residents' conditions, ensuring that any changes are communicated to the appropriate staff, and accurately documenting daily care in the designated forms and electronic medical records.

* Work hours are 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday \\- Friday, evenings and weekends as required, with a 30\\-minute lunch.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING \\& ELIGIBILITY**

**QUALIFICATIONS****Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:*** Two years as a Registered Nurse Supervisor or three years as a Registered Nurse Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) in a facility providing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; **or**
* Six years of professional nursing experience, which includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability; and a bachelor's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration. A master's degree in nursing, nursing education, or nursing administration may be substituted for up to one year of the required general professional nursing work experience; **or**
* An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity providing nursing care and services for people with a mental or physical injury, illness, or developmental disability.

**Special Requirements:*** This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

This position requires all employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1\\) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

**Other Requirements:*** PA residency requirement is currently **waived** for this title.
