**Position Summary:**
Under the supervision of an RN, assists and supports the nursing staff by performing basic nursing care to patients. Assists and maintains a safe and clean environment. Maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality and respect patient rights.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**
* Responsible to Charge Nurse.
* Provides direct and indirect patient care (nutrition, elimination, hygiene, mobility, safety).
* Assists with or performs basic nursing procedures (e.g. follow\\-up, IV’s, saline locks, sterile \\& unsterile drips, NG’s, wound care, trach care, vitals, glucometers, colostomy care).
*Required:*
* Must have completed two semesters of clinical rotations in an accredited program.
* Completes SNT orientation check\\-off with Preceptor, once completed can perform duties independently with preceptor co\\-signing.
* BLS certification at hire.
*Preferred:*
* Previous experience as nurse aide
