**Job Summary:**



The **Pediatric LPN** will provide **direct patient care** to children requiring **tracheostomy, ventilator support, and G\\-J tube feeding** in a **home health, hospital, or clinical setting**. The nurse will work closely with **registered nurses (RNs), physicians, and respiratory therapists** to ensure optimal patient outcomes.



**Key Responsibilities:**



* **Monitor and manage tracheostomy and ventilator equipment**, ensuring proper function and patient safety.
* **Perform suctioning, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques** as needed.
* **Administer medications** and treatments per physician orders.
* **Manage G\\-J tube feedings**, including formula administration, flushing, and troubleshooting complications.
* **Assess and document patient condition**, including vital signs, respiratory status, and nutritional intake.
* **Educate and support families** on trach, ventilator, and G\\-J tube care, emergency procedures, and daily management.
* **Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams** to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* **Respond to emergencies**, including trach dislodgement, ventilator alarms, and G\\-J tube complications.
* **Maintain infection control standards** and ensure a safe environment for the patient.

**Qualifications:**



* **Valid LPN license** in the state of practice.
* **Experience with pediatric trach, ventilator, and G\\-J tube care** (preferred, but training may be provided).
* **CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification**.
* **Strong assessment and critical thinking skills**.
* **Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team**.
* **Excellent communication and family education skills**.
