**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**

As a Forensic Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will direct, plan, and participate in the nursing care delivered to newly admitted and long\\-term consumers from the community criminal justice systems with a wide variety of acute and long\\-term psychiatric and behavioral disorders that require intensive inpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment. You will communicate and collaborate on a regular basis with the Chief Nurse Executive, Nurse Manager 1, and the supervisors of the other shifts to provide consistent continuity of care and supervision. You will be responsible for providing guidance, direction, and evaluation of subordinate staff compliance with security and safety measures unique to the Forensic Center and serve as a resource person to nursing staff, nursing administration, members of the interdisciplinary team, and consumer support services.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information:*** Full\\-time employment, 40 hours per week
* Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays; with a 30\\-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING \\& ELIGIBILITY**

**QUALIFICATIONS****Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:*** Three years as a Forensic Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); **or**
* Four years of professional nursing experience providing care, treatment, custody, and control of psychiatric patients.
**Special Requirements:*** This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
* If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1\\) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
**Other Requirements:*** PA residency requirement is currently **waived** for this title.
* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
**Legal Requirements:*** A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
* This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
