Director of Nursing Duties and Responsibilities:


* The coordination of resident care with a “hands on” management style
* Strong organizational skills
* Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies
* Able to work days but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
* Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents
* Ability to multi\\-task
* Knowledge of Long\\-Term Care Regulations
* Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews
* Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
* Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
* Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded
* Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment


Director of Nursing Qualifications and Skills:


* Supervisory: 1 years (Required)
* Long Term Care: 2 years (Preferred)
* Registered Nurse License (Required)
* CPR/First Aid (Required)
