A Brief Overview
The Director of Interventional Services is responsible for operational leadership of clinical department(s) and service line(s) under the direction of the Executive Director of Interventional Services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to regulatory compliance, quality performance, and fiscal accountability. This individual is accountable for nursing and clinical services provided at SHC-VC that are within and related to their functional area(s) of responsibility or department(s). This includes planning, organizing, leading, and managing nursing and clinical care, ensuring the delivery of quality, compassionate, and cost-effective care. The Director of Interventional Services collaborates with other organizational leaders and team members related to operations within their areas of responsibility, aligning with organizational strategy and initiatives.

What you will do
Provides leadership and guidance to leaders and team members in departments and programs.
Ensures regulatory compliance of The Joint Commission, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and other governing agency standards.
Ensures that department policies and procedures are consistently up to date.
Influences hospital policies and practices throughout the organization leveraging relevant professional practice and standards of nursing and clinical practice while ensuring safe and efficient care.
Partners with other organizational leaders and team members related to operations within their areas of responsibility.
Directs key initiatives, growth opportunities, and strategic activities.
Drives improvement and efficiency standards applicable to areas of responsibility including but not limited to access, staffing/workload management, and quality metrics.
Plans a framework for the overall budget for the department, in accordance with department and organizational goals and objectives.
Monitors patient charge capture. Maintains a review system for problems related to patient billing. Implements a resolution mechanism to resolve late charges and other billing issues.
Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Healthcare – Tri-Valley's patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business Administration, or relevant area Preferred
Experience Qualifications
Minimum 3 years nursing leadership experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation and California regulations as well as AORN, ASPAN
and SGNA standards.
Ability to maintain and apply clinical knowledge and experience.
Ability to act as thought leader and operational expert.
Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytic skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to actively manage their own professional development and the development of other leaders and staff.
Ability to attract and retain talent and providers to the organization.
Ability to mentor and motivate others towards achievement of common goals.
Ability to network and promote SHC-ValleyCare external to the organization.

Licenses and Certifications
Nursing\RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure required
Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare
Providers required
ANCC certification approved preferred

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $91.86 - $123.32 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
