šŸ“ Description: **Job Summary**

The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision to internal counselors pursuing their Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) credential in Tennessee. This role ensures supervision activities meet state regulatory requirements and supports the professional growth of supervisees through group supervision, individual supervision, and occasional training facilitation. The Clinical Supervisor also plays a key role in maintaining compliance with all applicable state rules and standards.


**Summary of Essential Job Functions**

The key responsibilities of the Clinical Supervisor include but not limited to:


* Provide individual and group clinical supervision to counselors working toward their LADAC credential, in alignment with Tennessee state regulations.
* Observe, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on clinical skills, ethical practice, and professional development.
* Maintain appropriate supervision documentation for each supervisee.
* Conduct Individual, Group, and/or Live Supervision
* Document Clinical Supervision
* Track Clinical Supervision Hours
* Ensure supervision sessions meet minimum frequency and duration requirements
* Conduct trainings as needed on the basis of chart audit results to ensure continuous quality improvement
* Provide consultation, support and oversight on high\\-risk patient cases
* Engage in Monthly QI Meetings for reporting and improvement planning
* Provide in\\-service training
* Monitor and assess the quality of clinical services provided by the counseling team
* Assist counselors in training and questions concerning case management, counseling strategies and federal and state regulations
* Conduct fidelity monitoring observations of evidence\\-based interventions and practices
* Meet with counselors for whom they are providing clinical supervision on a periodic basis, provide constructive feedback to counselors regarding their progress, and prepare required documentation as required by regulatory agency
* Provide oversight to counselors under their supervision by accompanying them while conducting 1:1 session and/or group therapy sessions
* Provide hands\\-on training of the 12 core functions through direct observation and case record review
* Facilitate regular supervision sessions consistent with Tennessee Board requirements.
* Provide learning opportunities for counselors under their supervision through role play, co\\-facilitation, observation, and any other viable option for enhanced skill base.
* Provide in\\-service training to counselors and other treatment center team members as needed
* Maintain knowledge of current addiction treatment trends and integrate into supervision).
* Meet BHG attendance standards and be present and ready for work at the beginning of their established work schedule
* Report any work\\-related injury or illness, or workplace hazards or security issues immediately to supervisor
* Perform peer file reviews monthly for the purposes of quality control
* Monitor and assess the quality of clinical services provided by the counseling team


Regulatory


* Stay current on Tennessee state laws, rules, and regulations regarding LADAC supervision and licensure.
* Ensure supervision hours, activities, and records meet all state requirements.
* Collaborate with HR and compliance teams to align supervision practices with organizational policies.
* Facilitate or coordinate training sessions to enhance clinical competencies, ethics, and adherence to best practices.
* Support supervisees in developing treatment planning, counseling techniques, and documentation skills.
* Responsible for complying with all federal, state and local regulatory agency requirements
* Responsible for complying with all accrediting agencies
* Shall encourage all unlicensed counselors to complete the process of obtaining appropriate licensure and/or certification

* Serve as a resource to supervisees for clinical and ethical guidance.
* Provide periodic updates to leadership on supervisee progress and potential concerns.

**Minimum Requirements**

Required


* Current Qualified Clinical Supervisor (QCS) recognized by the TN Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors for providing LADAC supervision.
* Minimum years of post\\-licensure clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment required by TN Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors for providing LADAC supervision.
* Demonstrated knowledge of state regulatory requirements for clinical supervision.


Preferred


* Experience supervising counselors in both group and individual settings.
* Familiarity with evidence\\-based practices for substance use disorder treatment.
* Training experience in clinical skills or ethics.
