The Division of Mental Health is pleased to announce an opening for a Clinical Nurse Manager for the Chicago Read Mental Health Center located in Chicago, Illinois. The Chicago Read Mental Health Center is seeking to hire an energetic and detail\\-oriented licensed Registered Nurse to direct and oversee para\\-professional, professional and non\\-professional nursing personnel on an assigned program unit, assuring that general health and nursing care needs are met for the patients on the program unit. Chicago Read Mental Health Center strives to provide equitable access to social/human services, supports, programs and resources to enhance the lives of all who we serve.


**Essential Functions**
-----------------------

* Serves as Clinical Nurse Manager.
* Serves as full\\-line supervisor.
* Participates in the development of unit treatment programs.
* Reviews nursing care plans to enter compliance with safety, infection control and standards of nursing care as governed by regulatory agencies.
* Attends and participates in nursing leadership meetings.
* Provides house supervision on a rotating basis on week\\-end days, holidays and in emergency situations.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are within the scope of duties enumerated above.
**Minimum Qualifications**
--------------------------

* Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
* Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4\\) years of college with course work in nursing.
* Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3\\) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience in a public or business organization.
**Preferred Qualifications**
----------------------------

* Three (3\\) years of professional experience supervising professional nursing staff.
* Three (3\\) years of professional experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi\\-tasking multiple projects.
* Two (2\\) years of professional nursing experience working with individuals with mental illnesses.
* Two (2\\) years of professional experience recommending or preparing treatment plans for patients.
* Three (3\\) years of professional experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders in oral or written form relative to the care and treatment of patients.
* Three (3\\) years of professional experience recommending and implementing nursing policies and procedures following evidence\\-based practice and nursing standards.
**Conditions of Employment**
----------------------------

* Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
* Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
* Requires the ability to provide house supervision on a rotating basis after business hours on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations.
