### **Key Duties and Responsibilities**
#### **Leadership**
* Champion a clear vision for organizational success and inspire others to achieve it.
* Lead by example to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
* Promote alignment between caregiver contributions and the hospital’s mission and goals.
* Respond constructively to change, leveraging opportunities to enhance care delivery.
* Define and communicate performance expectations across nursing teams.
* Recruit, hire, and onboard new staff aligned with the hospital’s values and standards.
* Conduct timely evaluations and support ongoing caregiver development.
* Facilitate regular staff meetings to enhance communication and team collaboration.
* Address performance concerns with consistency, clarity, and fairness.
* Identify opportunities for clinical and operational improvements.
* Track and analyze key performance indicators to drive excellence.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and federal regulations.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote evidence\\-based practices.
* Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets.
* Identify cost\\-saving opportunities without compromising care quality.
* Explain financial variances and implement strategies for improved efficiency.
* Direct nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
* Guide the development and implementation of strategic and performance improvement initiatives.
* Maintain ongoing survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
* Participate in executive, finance, governing body, and medical staff meetings.
* Oversee organization\\-wide patient care programs and ensure consistent, high\\-quality outcomes.
* Act as CEO designee during executive absences when needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
### **Required Qualifications**
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Current California Registered Nursing License.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Minimum of five (5\\) years of experience in patient care services.
* Demonstrated experience in hospital leadership, ideally in a surgical hospital environment.
### **Desired Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field (or equivalent experience with intent to pursue further education).
* Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related discipline.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
* Three (3\\) years of experience in quality management highly desirable.
