**Key Responsibilities**
As an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with YesCare, you will oversee nursing services and clinical operations to ensure the delivery of high\\-quality care. Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the senior clinical nurse for assigned areas of responsibility.
* Supervising the delivery of nursing services to inmates daily.
* Assisting in the development of monthly staffing schedules and ensuring appropriate coverage in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) and Director of Nursing (DON).
* Conducting weekly visits to clinical areas to observe staff performance and address ongoing programs and challenges.
* Ensuring timely submission of state\\-required data to Infection Control.
* Participating actively in continuous quality improvement activities or projects.
* Monitoring and addressing patient grievances promptly and assisting Charge Nurses with inmate grievance responses.
* Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, with recommendations for updates to the DON as needed.
* Coordinating proper orientation for new staff prior to assigning routine duties.
* Following standard precautions and using personal protective equipment as required.
* Performing other duties as assigned by management.
**Key Qualifications**
* **Education:**
* Associate Degree or RN Diploma required.
* Bachelorโs Degree in Nursing preferred.
* **Experience:**
* Minimum of 2 years of healthcare or nursing administration experience required.
* **Licensure \\& Certifications:**
* Active, unrestricted RN license in the state where the position is located.
* Specialty certification preferred (e.g., Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), etc.).
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
* **Technical Skills:**
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* **Soft Skills:**
* Strong critical thinking, organizational, and decisive judgment abilities.
* Effective communication and excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks, work in a high\\-pressure environment, and take appropriate actions when needed.
* **Compliance:**
* Must adhere to YesCare and departmental policies and procedures.
* Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
* Background check, security clearance, and drug screening required.
